The Rams Have Been Adopted

By Steve Wilson, Ingraham High School past-Principal

Ingraham has a new “godmother”. Early last school year Ms. Ann Goos, Director of Environmental Affairs Washington Forest Protection Association, fell in love with Ingraham High School and a partnership of a very positive and contributing nature blossomed. Ms. Goos joined the Ingraham High School Foundation Board and became extremely involved in several of the school’s major activities.

Ms. Goos brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with her to Ingraham. She has fifteen years of progressively responsible experience in public policy related to natural resources. She is a politically skilled and proactive problem solver. She again and again has demonstrated her superb analytical skills with proven ability to communicate complex policy and laws to policy makers and the lay public. She was also a very successful high school teacher and coach prior to her involvement in the natural resources area. She has also spent many years as a public motivational speaker. Ingraham is very fortunate to have a person of her caliber working with and for us. Ms. Goos will be playing a major role, serving as the campaign director, in the upcoming Seattle Schools levy campaign.

You only need to be with Ann for a few minutes before you marvel at her extremely high energy level, uncanny wit, and fantastic ability to promote. She obviously loves teenagers and has been very active in the promotion of Ingraham’s “ Back to the Future” auction. She was the producer of the Ingraham Breakfast Club held last June for Seattle area women leaders in business, civic and political arenas, and education. She also assisted in the selection of Ingraham students to participate in that event. It is no wonder that she was also the Mistress of Ceremonies for the successful and exciting occasion. Ann Goos has provided a great deal of her own time and money promoting Ingraham High School. Her efforts and contributions have been extremely instrumental in getting the Ingraham High School Foundation started and moving forward at a rapid pace. She is a true leader of people.

Besides attending Foundation Board meetings and helping to coordinate major activities, Ann is also often founding the halls and classrooms of Ingraham. Her previous career as a high school teacher and athletic coach help her to interact with and motivate our students. The Ingraham family is proud to have a new member at the table with us.

Welcome, Ann Goos. We appreciate your contributions.
